Re: Your Prayers
I do apologize if I have spelled your name wrong if so, please forgive me. I however wanted to take the time to thank you for your time in prayer and in need of spiritual guidance as you know I struggle with various health conditions that just do not seem to let up.
The day I found out about the infection in the bone, or otherwise known as Osteomyelitis, it was scary as Dr. Leung had to give me the worse case scenario which is as amputation below the knee. Of course, that is scary and life changing no matter what your faith may be, but after I left Dr. Leung’s office that day, I wiped away my tears and said, “God never gives you more than you can handle.” Something my parents, especially with my father being, now a retired priest told us all the time.
I do not know if you know, but many years ago when psychiatrists and whomever else were trying to figure out the best course of treatment for me mental health, I suffer a near fatal suicide attempt. It changed my life forever, as I had a total of eight heart attacks in ICU at VGH from that overdose. As ill mentally as I was at that time, the one thing that it did do, was bring me closer to God and those angels watching over me.
I know I am here for a reason no matter how hard my life may get or be. I might not be able to work or go to school and be on disability for life, but I do my best to help my parents as I live at home as my physical health was too demanding for the group home I was in. My senior parents should not have to care for me, but we are a family and I do not know if you know, but my parents adopted when I was born in 1989 from foster care, so I am beyond blessed.
Many have walked out of my life due to my demanding health, mental and physical, of course it hurts, but new people always walk in. My own biological mother who I met at the age of fifteen walked away. However, life goes on.
Thank you, as I call you a blessing and a pleasure to know. Your prayers mean the world to me, and bring me comfort as I battle the biggest health challenge I have yet faced.
