As I am still currently dealing with the Osteomyelitis in my left lower leg, just before that diagnosis, I had every intention of hitting the grind and starting my new exercise and workout routine. However, with the Osteomyelitis diagnosis, that sidetracked everything as every single doctor and specialist came to the conclusion that no exercise would be my best option at this point. Hard news to swallow when you weigh 375lbs.
Yes, I have acknowledged that I suffer from a Binge Eating Disorder I have always enjoyed exercise regardless of my weight. However, due to the condition on my left leg due to the Osteomyelitis exercising can worsen the condition making simple tasks such as walking a challenge.
I wanted to be out and independent the other day and do things without the assistance of my 76 year old father driving me around. Well, I got on that bus and managed to get around to my various doctor appointments and Wound Care, but things such as running for the bus, hopping on and off the bus, and standing on a moving bus did me no good, that was Friday and I am still paying the price for it to this very day. More swelling than usual, and lots of pain.
All because I want to be independent with living with Osteomyelitis and get back to a normal routine which will help with my weight loss and healthy eating (which is another struggle of mine).
One day at a time I guess, one day at a time.
